Some Funny Things About Me

--I am one of the few people that loves tuna noodle casserole.

--When I yawn, (at home) I often yawn the "hal-le-lu-jah" notes ala Handel.

--I like to watch the pile of leaves from the roof of my car, fly off behind me on a mid Fall day. I feel like I'm in a parade.

--I enjoy laying on the ground to take photographs, but it's pretty hard to get up and down and I prefer not to be seen doing it.

--I feel compelled to smell the fresh laundry every time I pull it out of the dryer.

--I enjoy singing harmony (when I am alone) to radio and CD music. (sometimes in church if I think no one can really hear me.)

--I know a cup full of words in Norwegian and Hebrew, and a bucket full of Spanish. It would be great to just know the 3 languages. I can't quite comprehend being multilingual, but the notion facinates me.

--I love quilts but am daunted by the lengthy process of making them, so I have collected a few. I am seriously considering making some quilted Christmas ornaments... ...next year perhaps...

--2 a.m. is my normal bedtime.

--I like cats quite a lot, but it bothers me to own them. Litter boxes are evil, and we have flea trouble in Oregon. ( I do own a cat but not a litter box.)

--My dogs always get people names that end in "Y". (I have a BIG dog. "Monty" cuz he's as big as a mountain. 140 pounds)

--I don't mind the last cold swig or two of coffee from the pot at the end of the day. The aged coffee, usually a bit strong, both annoys me, and gives me pleasure.

--I prefer to be barefoot. I love to be on foot friendly surfaces, and I tend to notice the texture on my feet. I especially like carpet, vinyl flooring, wood floors, fine sand, cement and grass that is not wet.

--I also notice the texture of most things. I understand why children feel like they have not seen something unless they have touched it. I carefully touch most things in the stores, even when it doesn't seem to make sense. If I hug you, I will likely notice and remember the texture of your clothing.

--I only realized how tactile I am a couple of years ago.

--I like to talk to animals. That is, make animal noises that imitate which ever animal I am visiting with. This makes them very curious. They usually start making noise. It is very handy when trying to get a photo of an animal. It's like saying,"cheese".

--My kids, hate this. They do not care to be in public with me if I am near an animal. It even bugs them when we drive up the driveway to Uncle's house. No one to be seen, yet if I roll down the window and moooo at the cows, the kids have a heart attack. For me, this is a bonus.
