"Aunt Tea" is a blog name I created for my first Blog in 2006. It was in a blogging community that nearly always had pseudonyms for it's users for security and anonymity. "Aunt" struck an endearing chord with people, many spontaneously sharing fond memories of their aunts. And so it stuck. A pleasant reminder of the good aunts in life. I enjoy being an aunt in real life, and even have a slew of great-nieces!
So, I'm "Aunt Tea" and even in today's Facebook world where people often know your real name, a few of my dear bloggy friends insist on continuing to call me, "Aunt Tea". I can't help but smile when they do.
A cup of tea has always been a pleasant concept to me. It can be soul soothing and nourishing enjoyed alone in the quiet, or a shared experience with a friend or two or three or...
It's a simple pleasure in life, appropriate for the fancy days and the ordinary days. I hope that you will join me here for a cup of virtual tea and conversation. Speak up, I would love to hear your voice across the table.
